Image via WikipediaAs I begin week 2 of the fellowship, I am finding my stride and using the day (I arrived at 10:45 today) to settle into the neighborhood in which I am staying. We are staying in the apartment of an accomplished conductor/music educator on the Upper West Side and the neighborhood is rich with city life; restaurants, shops, children and people of all ages. As we waited at the Jason's place for the keys to be delivered by a friend, a broker came out and asked us if we were there to see "the apartment". I thanked her and stated that I wished it was me she wanted to see, but I was just visiting. Maybe I am really starting to go native.
We took about an hour to walk up and down Broadway, and then tonight bought some groceries for dinner. We even made it to Fairway (the best grocery store ever) to buy fruit.
Tomorrow morning starts at 10 am so I have enough time in the morning to ready myself, but I do think it is time to sign off for the evening.
